Itinerary:

Day 1 Milan | Como
On your arrival at Milan’s Airport you will be met and transferred to your selected hotel in Como by private car. After checking in you are free to relax or explore Como.

Day 2 Como
Today is free to explore the city.

Day 3 Como | Venice
This morning board a first-class train to Venice. A motor launch, the Venetian mode of transportation, will transfer you to your hotel in Venice. The afternoon is free to enjoy.

Day 4 Venice
This morning enjoy a comprehensive walking tour of the main attractions of Venice. The afternoon is free.

Day 5 Venice | Florence
This morning a motor launch will transfer you to the train station to board a first-class train for Florence. In Florence you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of your day is free to do as you please.

Day 6 Florence
Enjoy a guided tour of Florence – the “Cradle of the Renaissance”, visiting the main attractions. The remainder of the day is yours to spend as you wish.

Day 7 Florence | Pisa | Florence
Enjoy an afternoon guided motor coach tour to your choice of either Pisa or Chianti with an early evening return to Florence.

Day 8 Florence | Rome
A first-class train will transport you from Florence to Rome. Private transfers between train stations and hotels are provided. The remainder of today is free.

Day 9 Rome
This morning enjoy a city tour visiting some of the best-known monuments of Rome. The rest of your day is spent as you please.

Day 10 Rome
Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon a guided tour features a visit to the Roman Forum, Basilica St. Paul’s.

Days 11 & 12 Rome | Pompeii | Sorrento
Depart early this morning to the South. Enroute enjoy a short tour of Naples before traveling on to Pompeii for lunch and a visit to the excavations. Tonight have dinner and overnight in first-class hotel accommodation in Sorrento. In the morning, travel by boat to the Isle of Capri and visit the Blue Grotto (weather permitting). Enjoy lunch in Anacapri. Return to Sorrento by boat. Your return to Rome takes you by way of Castellamare for a late evening arrival at your hotel.

Day 13 Rome
An entire day to explore Rome.

Day 14 Rome
Today marks the end of your tour. After breakfast a transfer to Rome airport for your return flight or ask your travel agent about extending your vacation with CIT Tours.

This morning enjoy a city tour, which includes a visit to some of the best known monuments of Rome including the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. The tour ends with a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica where you can admire many masterpieces including Michelangelo’s Pieta. The rest of your day is spent at leisure.

Day 3 Rome | Florence
Today travel by first-class train from Rome to Florence. Check in at your selected hotel and the remainder of the day is yours to pass as you choose.

Day 4 Florence
This morning enjoy a guided tour of the “Cradle of the Renaissance” – Florence. Visit the Cathedral complex with Brunelleschi’s magnificent Duomo, Giotto’s Belltower & the ancient Baptistery with its bronze door. Another stop this morning will be at Palazzo Pitti Museum, or if on Monday, the Bargello Museum or Medici Chapels. A drive up the Viali dei Colli (Avenue of the Hills) to Piazzale Michelangelo to view the entire city finishes this morning’s tour. The remainder of the day is yours to spend as you wish.

Day 5 Florence | Bologna
Travel by first-class train from Florence to Bologna. After check-in at your selected hotel the remainder of the day is free to explore this city located in the Po river valley in Emilia-Romagna. Known for its cuisine, it’s porticoed streets, and as home to one of the oldest Universities in Europe, Bologna is a place to visit – especially if you like people and food.

Day 6 Bologna
Today is free to spend as you wish further exploring this fascinating city or perhaps take an optional excursion to visit the Lamborghini Museum, the Ferrari Gallery or the Ducatti Museum or perhaps take a cooking class at La Vecchia Scuola Bolognese.

Day 7 Bologna | Venice
Today travel by first-class train from Bologna to Venice. Check in at your selected hotel and the remainder of the day is yours to pass as you choose.

Day 8 Venice
This morning’s walking guided tour visits the historic centre of the city and its monuments. Points of interest will include St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Baptistery, the Ducal Palace, the Prisons and the Bridge of Sighs. The tour ends with a visit to a glass blowing factory.
