The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Bahamas

The Ocean Club is legendary in its reputation for entertaining the world’s elite for more than 45 years. Here, service is elevated to a fine art form by a gracious staff welcoming you into their colonial plantation home. Warm and inviting accommodation and residential-style villas are ideal for couples and families alike. The dining options at The Ocean Club are renowned and unforgettable featuring the imaginative cuisine of chef Jean-George Vongerichten.

The Ocean Club is a playground of world-class golf, tennis, spa, and of course, water-sports. The elixir of Bahamian life and spectacular blue waters of the Caribbean are explored with a rich roster of activities, including diving, snorkeling, sailing, and wind-surfing.

Formerly a private estate, The Ocean Club is a luxury resort that offers white sandy beaches, tempting gardens, and a golf course as scenic as it is challenging.

You can’t go wrong with your choice of room or suite at The Ocean Club, as they’re all spacious, swank, and comfortable. But there is a decision to be made – ocean or garden view. That’s easy, right? Well, no, because the gardens are spectacular. Modeled on the gardens of Versailles, they’re full of cascading terraces of hibiscus and bougainvillea, bronze and copper European statuary, and lots of shaded corners perfect for napping in a hammock.

Speaking of greenery, The Ocean Club’s golf course, designed by Tom Weiskopf, is 18-holes of luscious grass and sweeping views. Just watch out for that big, blue water trap.

Finish off a day spent on the course, or at the tranquil spa, with some lobster and lamb carpaccio or Yellow Fin Tuna cannelloni at the Courtyard Terrace. Besides the mouth-watering seafood, it’s best known for the irresistibly romantic candle-lit fountain pool. So be sure to sneak in a kiss between dinner and aperitifs.
