Hong Kong Tours and Vacations
Hong Kong’s unforgettable skyline is clear proof of its financial and commercial success. This former British colony reverted to Chinese control in 1997, yet the culture-rich atmosphere remains. See the Wang Tai Sin Temple, tour local markets and the floating village of Aberdeen, or take in the entire harbor from Victoria Peak, Hong Kong’s highest point.
Hong Kong, officially the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, is a territory located on the Pearl River Delta in East Asia, bordering the Chinese province of Guangdong to the north and facing the South China Sea to the east, west and south. It has a population of 6.9 million people, and is one of the most densely populated areas in the world.
Hong Kong’s climate is sub-tropical, tending towards the temperate for nearly half the year. Temperatures can drop below 10 degrees Celsius in winter and exceed 31 degrees Celsius in summer. About 90 per cent of the rainfall occurs between April and September.
Chinese and English are the official languages. English is widely used in the Government and by the legal, professional and business sectors. There is no shortage of well- educated competent bilingual or even trilingual professionals who speak English, Cantonese and Putonghua. These are vital staff for any enterprise trading in Hong Kong or doing business with the Mainland and Taiwan.
