Experience Australia

Travel to Australia
Friendly smiles and wide-open spaces await you in Australia. In the land down under, breathtaking landscapes deliver the perfect backdrop for once-in-a-lifetime adventures, while bustling, cosmopolitan cities provide unforgettable, culture-rich experiences. So, whether you’re an epic adventurer, city sophisticate, or anything in between, this magical, mysterious destination – just a day away across the International Date Line – is sure to leave you with a lifetime of wonderful memories.

Sydney is a vibrant, dynamic and accessible metropolis and one of the region’s most popular destinations. This bustling capital is a cosmopolitan city set on one of the world’s most stunning harbors. Friendly natives, a laid back outdoor lifestyle and physical allure make it one of the world’s most pleasant places to visit.

While the city of Sydney itself offers a wide-range of cultural life with a dynamic food scene, energetic nightlife and vibrant cityscape of outstanding contemporary and colonial architecture, it also delivers the splendors of nature just a short distance away. Easily within reach are iconic beaches, World Heritage areas, lush hinterland and acclaimed wine regions of the State of New South Wales. Additionally, five major national parks will deliver unforgettable experiences and lifelong memories.

Cairns is the jewel in Australia’s tropical crown. With over 300 days of sunshine, plenty of space, friendly locals, and the World Heritage-listed Daintree rainforest and Great Barrier Reef side by side, it’s easy to see why Mother Nature chose Cairns be the international hub of adventure vacations.

Cairns natural attractions rank as some of the most original and exciting in Australia. Golden sunny beaches flanked by pristine rainforest and the Cairns Great Barrier Reef make it a region that literally has it all! Swim, snorkel and dive among thousands of colorful fish and coral just off the coast.

It’s a city where the air is filled with optimism and a sense of adventure is heavy on the ground. You’ll be amazed by the attractions, the diverse places to visit and the shopping. You’ll also be pleasantly surprised by the open and friendly attitude of the locals.

Sophisticated and progressive, dynamic and diverse, Brisbane delivers on all fronts. Delight in the very best food, wine, arts, entertainment and major sporting events, all surrounded by a unique environment of relaxed sub-tropical flair. There’s exciting shopping, a buzzing night life scene, and no end to the range of outdoor adventures on offer, such as sailing, surfing, hot air ballooning and four wheel drive excursions.

Ayers Rock
Southwest of Alice Springs is Ayers Rock/ Uluru, the world’s largest monolith, an Aboriginal sacred site, and Australia’s most famous natural landmark. Visitors may wish to make the tough ascent to the top, or take a walking tour around the rock with an aboriginal guide to learn about its history with the Uluru people and its importance in dreamtime legend.
At the base of Uluru, there are cave paintings and carvings made over many thousands of years by Anangu belonging to the Luritja, Yankuntjatjara and Pitjantjatjara language groups. Ayers Rock and its surrounding area is an ancient sacred place for the Anangu people.

The entire Yulara Resort, also known as just Ayers Rock Resort, offers a range of accommodation options, such as, five star Uluru hotels, service apartments, a backpacker style hostel and a well maintained campground. Lush green lawns, 120 000 flowering shrubs and trees, shops, restaurants, mini market, swimming pools, tennis courts, art gallery and more are offered within Ayers Rock Resort. No matter in which Uluru accommodation you are staying, you are allowed to use the facilities of all the other Ayers Rock hotels inside the resort as well. There is also a free shuttle bus to easily get around.

The capital of Victoria and the second largest municipality in Australia, Melbourne is often referred to as the “Garden City” and with good reason – its charm is highlighted by many parks and gardens.

Set around the shores of Port Phillip Bay, its straightforward layout is easy to navigate. This true metropolis has a dizzying array of chic fashion stores, buzzing laneway cafés, trendy bars, botanic gardens, sports stadiums, Manhattan style skyscrapers, film and food festivals, art galleries, opulent theaters and so much more. For couples, families and everyone in between, Melbourne truly runs the gamut of activity and attraction.
When is the best time to visit Australia?
Generally, Australia is a popular year-round destination. However, the best months to visit Australia are September and October, when it's often still warm enough to hit the beach in the southern states, it's cool enough to tour Uluru, and the humidity and rains have not come to Cairns (although it will be very hot by Oct).
