The hotel features 50 rooms and suites, many of which have views across the surrounding Chianti countryside. The castle’s historic terracotta flooring, fresco walls and vaulted ceilings remain untouched, while Milanese interior designer, Paola Navone, has introduced a light and modern ‘COMO’ aesthetic. La Taverna features a relaxed bar, where guests can choose from a selection of Italian-inspired dishes and an extensive drinks list. There is also a wine cellar set in the original twelfth-century castle.
