SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando has partnered with The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), a global leader in online training and certification programs, to become designated as a Certified Autism Center (CAC). It is our goal to provide every family with an enjoyable and memorable visit to SeaWorld Orlando, and we are proud to offer specialized services to guests with autism and other special needs.

Certified Staff
SeaWorld Orlando Ambassadors receive specialized training to ensure they have the requisite knowledge, skills, temperament, and expertise to cater to all children, including those with special needs.

Training focuses include: sensory awareness, motor skills, autism overview, program development, social skills, communication, environment, and emotional awareness.

Quiet Rooms
Guests in need of some quiet time and relief from sensory stimulation can utilize a quiet room located next to the Information and Reservations Counter and inside the Child Care Facility in Sesame Street at SeaWorld Orlando. These rooms have features and comfortable seating for guests needing a break. The Quiet Rooms have a vacant/occupied feature to ensure privacy for our guests. Guests who would like to use a Quiet Room may do so on a first come first served basis.

Low Sensory Area
Guests in need of a less stimulating area in the park are encouraged to visit the area between Dolphin Cove and Turtle Trek.

Restrooms
All restrooms are accessible to guests using wheelchairs and are marked with the wheelchair symbol throughout the park.

Companion/Family Assist restrooms are located at:
• Main entrance next to “Exit Gifts” gift shop
• SeaSide Restrooms Next to the SeaWorld Gift Shop
• Journey to Atlantis® Plaza area
• Shark Encounter®
• Baby Care Center in Sesame Street at Seaworld Orlando®
• Seafire Inn Restaurant
• Voyagers Restaurant
• Spice Mill Restaurant

Manual flush toilets, for those with sensory needs, are at these locations as well.

    SeaWorld Orlando Resort

Long a favorite destination for marine mammal loving guests and thrill-seekers, SeaWorld Orlando Resort announced it became a Certified Autism Center shortly after Aquatica Orlando and Discovery Cove made their announcements. Two quiet rooms—one located in the new Sesame Street Land (formerly Shamu’s Happy Harbor)—accommodate guests who need a break. A special “Sensory Guide” – available on the park website and prominently displayed at each major attraction, gives guests a preview of what to expect at rides and shows in terms of both sensory input and level of intensity. And a Ride Accessibility Pass is available for those unable to wait in line due to autism or other disabilities.

Recommended Hotel: Situated just steps away from SeaWorld Orlando, the Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld offers its own mini-water park for kids and spacious rooms, some with SeaWorld fireworks views. Guests receive complimentary “front of the line” Quick Queue passes, priority seating at shows and early entry theme park privileges, as well as free transportation to Aquatica Orlando and Discovery Cove.
